“Goat Cart” for the Bellingham Market is Cast
December, 2006

This week the parts for the Bellingham Market “Goat Cart” were cast. The torso of the goat was cast in two sections, the wheels were each cast as two parts, the head in one, and the four legs separately. There are other parts, such as windows, which allow openings in the castings and various other cart parts. Not all of the “Goat Cart” sculpture will be in bronze, some components will be in stainless steel and wood. Of course, there is a lot of work ahead. We have to weld the sections together, recreate any surface textures in metal, patina, and install it on site. I am optimistic for a late January or early February installation.
